Abstract
The aim of the research was identification and risk assessment of heavy metal pollution, and also determination of their concentrations in the chain of fishpond water – fish feed – fish in some artificial water ponds of Ararat valley. It was carried out field and laboratory studies performed according to ISO standards and in compliance with technical regulation and safety norms. The obtained results allowed to conclude that the fish grown in some artificial fishponds of Ararat valley is considered to be safe and can be consumed without risk for population health.
