On January 14-15, 2019 the Centre for Ecological-Noosphere Studies NAS RA (Yerevan, Armenia) held a kickoff meeting in the frames of Modernization of Environment Protection Studies Programmes for Armenia and Georgia (MENVIPRO). The attendees discussed both requirements to improvement of quality of environmental and nature management educational programs in Armenia and Georgia and the potential of these states based on Bologna and EUA Salzburg principles. The attendees pointed to the importance of local adjustment of best European practices placing a special emphasis on innovative technologies in education. The attendees shared a common position that a breakthrough role in the aforesaid process would belong to the establishment of an inter institutional research and educational laboratory. During the kickoff meeting representatives from universities of Europe and partner countries discussed in detail work packages, the Program implementation directions and procedures, whereas lecturers of Nature protection and Nature Management Department made a presentation on their expertise, subjects to be taught, capacity of lab researches and coordinated further stages and processes of collaboration with European partners.
